Planet Coaster 2 - 1.2.0 Update Notes
Hayo Park Managers!
We’re thrilled to be launching our second major update for Planet Coaster 2! Kicking off our Spring Roadmap, Update 2 brings a variety of features to give you even more creativity and flexibility in your parks, including ride synchronisation, interchangeable coaster cars, video billboards, and custom speakers! Additionally, we have two new ‘de-themed’ standard versions of coasters ready for you to customise, a dizzying returning Flat Ride which we’ve rebuilt from the original Planet Coaster, new coaster customisations, as well as enhancements to guest navigation, UI, notifications, and more.
Please read below for a full breakdown of what's in Update 2.
Features
Video billboards
- Advertise your favourite Planet Coaster 2 shops with brand new Video Billboards.
- Billboards are available in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit the aesthetics of any park, all of which can be scaled too.
- [PC ONLY] Import your own .webm video files and add them to new and existing billboard scenery pieces for even more creativity.
Custom speakers
- [PC ONLY] Add an extra personal touch to your parks by importing your own .ogg, .mp3, .wav, .wma, .aac, .m4a and .flac audio files to existing speaker Scenery pieces.
Ride synchronisation
- Time multiple rollercoasters, powered Tracked Rides, Flumes or slides to set off at the same time with Ride Synchronisation.
Interchangeable coaster cars
- On selected coasters, you can now swap out the coaster car type for certain other rollercoasters via the ‘Customise’ tab on a coaster. To use this feature, ensure you’ve turned it on in the game options menu.
Standard 'de-themed' coasters
- We are adding standard versions of the Zephyr - Junior Coaster and Valais & Nidwalden - Wing Coaster, providing blank canvases for your own creative flair. These can be switched onto your tracks using the interchangeable coaster car feature.
- Additionally, the Dragon and Wing pieces from these coasters are now available to use as scenery items that can be added onto a plethora of rides and structures.
Returning flat ride
- Reintroducing Pathos III! Previously seen in the original Planet Coaster, the multi-axis spinning ride has been rebuilt from the ground up for Planet Coaster 2.
