Blueprints

Build your dream theme park with ease by quickly creating and placing Blueprints

For both new and returning Park Managers, Blueprints are key to creating a fantastic, fully developed theme park quickly and easily.

In this guide we’ll look at how you can use Blueprints around your theme park, including how to create and edit Blueprints. We will also cover how to upload and download your creations in the Frontier Workshop.

What are Blueprints in Planet Coaster 2?

Put simply, Blueprints are a collection of objects or scenery items. Blueprints can be an arrangement of flowers, a row of shops, or even a giant coaster... or all those things saved together. You can even create Blueprints of paths and pools!

There’s a selection of beautiful pre-set default blueprints available in Planet Coaster 2 to give you an easier time building the theme park of your dreams right out of the box.  You can also save your own Blueprints of creations hat you might want to re-use, or share them with other park managers in the Frontier Workshop.

Default Blueprints

Planet Coaster 2 has loads of Blueprints to choose from to get your perfect theme park up and running in no time!

From coasters and rides to pools and shops, the default Blueprints available to you can all be edited and adjusted to fit your vision for your park.

How-To Edit a Blueprint

Whether you’re building your own creations or modifying default Blueprints to fit your park’s vision, tweaking and tinkering with the design is simple.

  1. Select the Blueprint placed in your park which you want to edit by using the Multi Select tool. You can also highlight a Blueprint by selecting its scenery group.
  2. With the Blueprint highlighted, confirm your selection and press the Edit Scenery Group button.
  3. Once you are editing the scenery group, you can select individual elements of a structure, adjusting the height, angle and even colours!
  4. Once you are finished editing, press done. To update an already existing blueprint, navigate to the Create new blueprint button, select the original file and save.
How-To Create a Blueprint

You can turn almost anything into a blueprint!

  1. Place, adjust and edit any scenery piece, pathing, rides, pools or buildings you want as part of the Blueprint until you’re happy.
  2. Highlight everything you want to include by using the Multi Select tool and confirm your selection.
  3. In the Mixed Selection menu, you can either group scenery together or save as a Blueprint.
  4. To create a new Blueprint, you will need to name it, give it a description and choose its browser location. It will also display an in-game price.
    • For example, if you’ve created a pool complete with flumes, this would sit in the Pools browser.
  5. You’ve created a blueprint! This can now be used over and over again in your park with ease.
