Shops & Vendors

Create shopping experiences that boost your theme park’s finances

In Planet Coaster 2, a truly amazing theme park is nothing without a bit of shopping!

Whether your guests are creating memories and buying keepsakes or they’re looking for delicious snacks and drinks to keep them fuelled for fun, it’s up to you as a Park Manager to create and manage the vendors in your park.

Creating Shops

Building shops has never been simpler! Create food courts and shopping plazas quickly and easily with pre-built vendors or design your own spaces with shop counters and scenery.

For more information about designing the park of your dreams from scratch, take a look at our Building Your Park guide.

Gift Shops & Services

Gift Shops and Guest Services are a great way to provide your guests with amazing mementos and useful items for their time in your park.

Gift shops don’t just sell fun merchandise for your guests to take home! They also sell handy items for guests to use in the park, like inflatables for chilling in the pool or hats to keep cool and avoid sunburn.

In Planet Coaster 2, we have new and returning vendors for guests to browse and shop!

Hat’s Fantastic

Guests can get in the mood for excitement and grab hats decorated with their favourite mascots from across your park with Hat’s Fantastic.

Other than looking really cool, hats will protect your guests from sunburn on hot days at your park.

Just A Momento

Your guests have made wonderful memories at your theme park. Now they can take home something to remember it from Just a Memento!

Selling keyrings and plushies, this gift shop is perfect for placing next to rides so guests can grab knickknacks of their favourite mascots to remember all the fun they’ve had. Plus, they can purchase keepsakes that they can use in the parks, like t-shirts and hoodies.

Loony Blooons

You’d be crazy not to grab a balloon from Loony Blooons! Guests can purchase fun, coloured balloons or designs featuring the wonderful mascots of Planet Coaster 2.

Splash Emporium

Dive into the fun with incredible inflatables from Splash Emporium! Selling lilos and pool rings this shop is ideal for placing nearby your water rides and pools.

While seemingly impossible, your guests can carry pool rings in their pockets! They will purchase these items to chill out and relax in your pools and lazy rivers.

Guest Services

Guests will check in at Guest Services to grab their pool passes as well as all kinds of useful items your guests will need in the park.

Guest Services sell items like suncream and umbrellas as well as pool and priority passes. It’s vital to have these shops at high traffic points across your parks as pool passes are the only way guests can enter your pools!

Food & Drink Vendors

Keep your guests happy and full of energy by building food and drink vendors throughout your theme park!

It’s up to you how you incorporate them into the park, whether that’s as fantastic food courts where guests can chill out and grab a bite to eat or as specialist vendors in themed areas of your park.

For a quick refuel, guests can grab snacks and drinks from vending machines as well!

Did You Know?

Some guests will have dietary requirements that will affect which food and drink vendors they can visit! These dietary restrictions are displayed in individual guest info-panels and shop ingredient sections.

Each food and drink vendor will display the ingredients for every item they sell. For each item on the vendor menu, you can see a percentage of guests that the food or drink caters to. The higher this number the more guests can eat or drink this particular menu item.

Did You Know?

Placing multiple different food and drink shops in the park will make sure that guests are able to find somewhere to eat when they're hungry or thirsty.

How-To Customise Menu Items

All food and drink items at your vendors are made up of ingredients. You can add extras to make them more appealing, but it will increase your costs and potentially cater to fewer guests’ dietary preferences.

  1. You can also view which of these ingredients will be a hit with your guests in this same info-panel!
  2. Select a food or drink vendor and navigate to the Ingredients Panel via the cog button on a menu item.
  3. You will be presented with a list of potential addition ingredients you can add to each individual menu item e.g. cheese for burgers, or cinnamon for lattes.
  4. Select which extra ingredients you’d like to add and customise your theme park food!

Customising Shops

However you choose to serve up tasty treats to your guests, you can customise each and every booth you place to fit your dream park theme.

Each food and drink vendor within Planet Coaster 2 has a Shop and Counter option for building, allowing you to create the ideal space for guests to enjoy a delicious lunch or quick food refuel!

How To Edit Vendor Scenery

Attaching scenery pieces or building shells to a shop or counter area will create a scenery group. A scenery group can be accessed to move or edit by selecting the facility itself or the scenery piece.

  1. Select the building or structure you want to edit or move.
    • If you have selected a facility, navigate to Advanced Settings and select an option from Building Management.
    • If you have selected a scenery piece, the Edit Building button is in Building Statistics.
  2. Once you are in edit mode you can add, remove or adjust scenery pieces that you have attached to your food and drink vendors.
  3. Let your imagination run wild and create amazing food plazas and dining areas for your guests!

When building in your park you can Create Custom or use Blueprints. Blueprints allow you to place Shells on your facility buildings while Create Custom allows you to place scenery pieces to make your own buildings.

For more in-depth information about customising your park and facilities, read our Building Your Park guide.

Managing Vendors

Ensuring your shops run smoothly will require you to juggle finances and staff. Managing the staff for each of your vendors is simple using the shop menus.

Within each vendor’s info-panel, you’ll be able to see which staff member is assigned to the shop, as well as how many hours the vendor is staffed and unstaffed. Below this the Staff Schedule button will take you to the individual schedule for each shop, allowing you to place more members of staff to work when needed.

Check out our Staff Guide for more information about creating schedules and staff zones.

Setting Prices

  • Bargain Pricing – Automatically sets prices in shops and vendors to the cheapest possible price. This will keep guests happy but remember you’ll need to cover your running costs.
  • Custom Pricing – Set the prices yourself! Adjust the cost of all products in your shops to suit the luxury of your park. Just make sure your guests can afford to buy them...

Did You Know?

You can switch on Sync within your shop panels to have consistent pricing across all shops of that type! Making changes to your vendors is quick and simple. For example, when the weather is hot, demand for sun cream will go up so you can make an extra bit of cash by easily adjusting the price of sun cream across the whole park.
